STA Training Group This weekend "Arizona's Best"!

Even For those interested we have a pistol carbine fighter course this Saturday zero 830 to 1430 at practical pistol bay alpha which is the saloon
I plan to keep the tempo high with shooting while moving a new drills we have come up with
If we get six shooters I will bring the swamp cooler and keep the saloon nice and breezy and cool.

Let's talk about Concealed Weapons (CCW)

I have a lot of people ask me why I should get a CCW when I can carry a concealed weapon legally without a CCW "In AZ". Well "my opinion" even though I have LE training, as a civilian now I need to know the rules / laws of what I can and cannot do in my state. The course also helps you understand what states you can carry concealed weapons with your AZ CCW, very helpful when travelling.

Are you a hunter? Become part of a club! Safari Club International (SCI)

Living in AZ and want to go hunting or learn about some adventures. Try looking up this club, there are 3 chapters in Arizona, I belong to the SCI Northern Chapter. One of the best features about hunting is passing on that information to our children. Teach them safety and the skills needed and at the same time teach them why people need to hunt.

Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund

As I stated above, "I am AF military retired" I came across this site and found it is very interesting. It has a narrow range for who can receive these funds but when you look at the category of soldier I think it is very deserving. After 24 years of Air Force service I have only been shot at 3 times. These Marines run directly into hostile actions, "that's their life" and they have a greater chance to lose their lives, so I support these types of scholarships!

The Silent Warrior Scholarship Fund was set up by Reconnaissance Marines in memory of their fallen brothers.

Survival Kits - Who needs a survival kit? Everyone. This is just one quick site!

Here's the story, people are either pro or con on survival kits. The answer is neither! Everyone should have one in their car and should be in a backpack. Why, if you ever get into an accident along the road, someone gets hurt or theirs a natural disaster you have what you need to get by. Here's what I carry, flash lights yes 2, extra batteries, first aid kit with extra blood clotting powder, tourniquets, knife, flares, water filter, lighter, some snacks and a few tools. I am in the process of writing up a document and checklist for survival and survival kits. Survival kits can be costly, you can start slow and build up over a period of time and make it work for you. I don't carry poncho's, "I live in AZ" however if I lived in Florida I would. Make them unique for you.
